Must conform to all general qualifications

Must reside within the county
(3)
Must file at least 14 days before the qualifying deadline, a list
of the educational and experience credentials with the Tennessee Highway
Officials Certification Board.
The board will certify the candidates to the Coordinator of Elections who
will notify the counties by the qualifying deadline.

a.
A high school education or GED, & at least (4) years experience in a
supervisory capacity in Highway Construction or Maintenance, or
b.
Graduation from an accredited school of engineering with at least (2)
years experience in Highway Construction or Maintenance, or
c.
A combination of education and experience equivalent to either (1) or (2)
above, or
d. Licensed to practice engineering in Tennessee.
As
a candidate for the office of Superintendent of Roads for Union County, you are
required to file a sworn affidavit with the TN Highway Certification Board in
Nashville. Simply
list your qualifications, supply any certified copies that might be pertinent,
have your affidavit notarized above your signature and mail to the Coordinator
of Elections at the address below.
If you are approved by the board, you will be notified by letter, and the
county Election Commission will receive a copy that will allow your name to be placed on the ballot.
